Tink sivyer
Tink became immersed in a yoga practice in 2014 while living in New York City. Although there was a strong initial benefit from regular exposure to yogic principles and a new, deeply spiritual community, Tink went all or nothing with the physical side of the practice, often pushing her body too hard with a consistency that was not sustainable. Four years after her initial 200-hour training, Tink had hit burnout and needed to reassess how her approach to her yoga practice could best nourish her as a whole being.
In the Autumn of 2019, Tink participated in a 200-hour yin yoga training in Bali that served as her introduction to a more functional approach to her yoga practice and yoga teaching. She learned the value in slowing down and being with sensation in a way that fostered a deeper connection to herself.
Through the pandemic and into the development of her professional somatic DJ career, Tink has learned to cultivate her yoga practice in moderation, gentleness, and self-compassion. Her dance background and continued movement exploration are what she finds most supportive in her yoga practice and teaching style. Her classes offer students space to explore their own practice with a focus on listening to your body and getting curious about what’s possible.
